Simple ,Compound ,Complex ,Sentence – Blog

Kai Ora, today I am going to be writing about simple , compound  and complex sentences here is an example.

A simple sentence has one noun and one verb it has one main idea it’s a complete thought. A complex sentence includes a dependent clause and an independent clause it consists of one clause that makes sense and one that does not. A compound sentence has two simple sentences that are joined together to make a conjunction.

Here is an example of a simple sentence: the bear growled  Dante and Matt ran. Here is an example of a compound :sentence This car is expensive, and this car is too little. Here is an example of a complex :sentence Now that we have finished work,we can relax.

Get wi$e

Yesterday we were learning how to get wise with money. Get wise is a financial literacy program  for students under the age of 18 it is also sponsored by “ASB”. Also to learn how to use and spend your money we also went into groups of four and  had 160 solo dollars to spend but in each group we had to go to  a random planet and get them a gift buy some shoes and get a guide book we first went to go and get some shoes the first pair of shoes were 50 bucks each the second pair of shoes were 120 bucks and the last pair of shoes were 190 bucks so we got the first pair because it was the cheapest pair of shoes. We then went  to get the gift for the people and we went to the chocolate shop to get them some nice chocolate there was a jelly chocolate which was a picture of  the alien planet that we weren’t getting that one because  the picture was only shown once so we din’t get that one so we just went for the last one and  that one was the best because you could change the flavor to what ever flavor you cloud ever wan’t`and it was only 19 solo dollars. We went to to get a guide book and there were three choices to choose from and it was the last thing to do so we just choose and we had the money to get all of them so we got all three. Then we got a picture in our year seven and eight year group.
